WESTHAMPTON – Voters at Saturday’s election will decide contests for Select Board, Planning Board, Finance Committee and library trustee.

Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to noon in Town Hall.

Select Board Chairman Arthur L. Pichette, of 174 Laurel Hill Road, is challenged by Wayne T. Parks, of 60 Main Road, for a three-year seat.

Five candidates are running for three three-year seats on the Finance Committee. Incumbents Jacqueline Brodeur, of 136 North Road, and Aniko Giordano, of 285 Main Road, are joined by newcomers Steven E. Gagne, of 39 Stage Road, Stephen C. Holt, of 34 North Road, and Bradford K. Morse, of 185 Southampton Road.

Incumbent Finance Committee member Celeste E. Whiting is not seeking reelection.

Whiting, of 100 Laurel Hill Road, is one of two people seeking one three-year term as library trustee. The other is incumbent trustee Michelle J. Nevins, of 63 South Road.

Incumbent Planning Board members Thomas Hathaway, of 128 North Road, and Mark T. Schwallie, of 116 Chesterfield Road, face a challenge from Virginia M. Curtis, of 207 Main Road, for two three-year seats on the board.

Incumbents seeking reelection without opposition on the ballot are Dolores Thornhill, of 107 Chesterfield Road, three-year term, Board of Assessors; Richard W. Tracy, of 106 South Road, one-year term, moderator; and Holt, one-year term, tree warden.

Morley C. Cleary, of 31 Southampton Road, is the only candidate running for a one-year term on the Westhampton Elementary School Committee.

There are no candidates for the two three-year seats on the school board.

There are also no candidates for a three-year term as North District constable.
