EASTHAMPTON — The city’s arts promotion agency has hired Julie Rosier as its new coordinator.
Jane Sakiewicz, the personnel director in Easthampton, said Rosier has experience producing cultural events in the performing arts and more than 10 years working in the arts and nonprofit sectors.
Rosier started Tuesday and hit the ground running in preparation for the city’s Cultural Chaos event on June 11.
Rosier was the top choice after the city received 20 applications for the job. She lives in Easthampton.
Easthampton City Arts+ announced the appointment Wednesday on its Facebook page.
Rosier succeeds Burns Maxey, who resigned from the 35-hour-per-week position in April to take a job with New England Public Radio. Maxey held the post for five years.
