CHAOS, THIRD TIME AROUND
For the third straight year, Easthampton is set to celebrate the arts in its own inimitable style. On Saturday from noon to 7 p.m., part of the downtown area will be blocked off to traffic and opened to “Cultural Chaos,” a street festival that offers live music, open studios, theater, dance, and other performances (like fencing duels) and lots of food. The theme for the Cottage Street festival this year is “Carnival,” so expect lots of color. Parking is available elsewhere in town on the streets and at the municipal lot at 50 Payson Ave. easthamptoncityarts.com/culturalchaos
ANOTHER GOOD BET
Celebrate James Joyce and help The Literacy Project on Thursday at 7 p.m. by attending “Bloomsday,” a theatrical and literary performance at Greenfield’s Arts Block. It’s part of a world-wide event every June 16 in honor of Joyce’s “Ulysses.” theartsblock.com
