BARNES & NOBLE: James Renner signs copies of his new book, “True Crime Addict,” Thursday, 7 p.m., at the bookstore, Hampshire Mall, Hadley.  

BROADSIDE BOOKSHOP: Greg Jobin-Leeds, author of “When We Fight, We Win: Twenty-First Century Social Movements and the Activists That Are Transforming Our World,” will speak Tuesday,  7 p.m., at the bookstore, 247 Main St., Northampton. 586-4235

LYME DISEASE RESOURCE CENTER: Eliza Hemenway, author of “Paris in Oakland: A Story of How One Family Overcame Lyme Disease,” reads from her book Friday, 6 p.m., Potpourri Plaza, Suite 236, 243 King St., Northamp- ton.

MEEKINS LIBRARY: Kevin O’Hara, author of “Last of the Donkey Pilgrims,” will read Wednesday, 6:30 p.m., at the library in Williamsburg. 

ODYSSEY BOOKSHOP: Terry Brooks reads from his new fantasy novel, “The Sorcerer’s Daughter,” Sunday, 3:30 p.m., at the bookstore, in the Village Commons, 9 College St., South Hadley. 534-7307

Yaa Gyasi reads from her new novel, “Homegoing,” Wednesday, 7 p.m. 

SMITH COLLEGE: Local writers Beth Dirks and Zane Kotker will read from their works  Sunday, 3 p.m., Neilson Library Browsing Room, at the college in Northampton. Part of the “Gallery of Readers” series.
