Northampton Post 28 kept its early season momentum going with a 10-3 victory over Belchertown Post 293, Tuesday in American Legion action at Arcanum Field in Northampton.

Post 28, which cruised past the Springfield Eagles 18-3 in its opener on Sunday, scored seven runs in the second inning and three in the fourth to pull away from Belchertown.

Kevin Banas’ three-run homer powered the second inning.

Andrew Serio (four RBIs) finished 2 for 3 with two runs and two RBIs out of the No. 9 spot in the order. Joe Afflitto added a pair of RBIs.

Colby Lander started and struck out four over three innings. Ian McNamara fanned six over three innings of relief for the win.

Tanner Clark (run, RBI) was 2 for 3, while Nick Kubacki added a hit for Belchertown (0-2).
