Will Jordan tossed a complete game and the Northampton bats backed him up in a 5-2 victory over Frontier in Mickey Mantle action Wednesday at Northampton High School.

Jordan scattered seven hits, one walk and allowed two unearned runs. He retired the first nine batters and finished with six strikeouts.

Six players had one hit for Northampton. Elliot Wills doubled, while Aiden Chapdelaine (stolen base, run), Nick Haefey (two walks, two stolen bases, run), Jordan, Devontay Edmonds (two runs, two walks) and Sam Shelffo (RBI) each singled.

Matt Hildreth (run) went 2 for 3 for Frontier.

Longmeadow 8, Northampton 3 — Post 28 fell behind early at Arcanum Field en route to its first loss if the season.

Northampton (2-1) collected four hits, while five errors set the squad back.

Hector DeJesus, Pat Grygorcewicz (two RBIs), Andrew Serio and Zac Brittain each had one hit for Post 28.

Kevin Banas scored twice, walked twice and was hit by a pitch.
