AMHERST – Warm weather prompted multiple police responses to Puffer’s Pond in North Amherst during the weekend.

At 1:16 p.m. Friday, a person called 911 to report that two topless women were at the North Beach, located off Mill Street, and that the women were also engaged in other inappropriate behavior in front of children. The women were not located by responding officers, said Detective Michael Forcum.

The following day at 3:33 p.m., police were notified about a woman at the recreation site screaming and possibly having a bad reaction to ingesting LSD. Officers were uncertain whether the woman used any narcotics, but brought her back to her residence at 3:56 p.m., Forcum said.

Finally, at 4:41 p.m. Saturday, two men and a woman were seen bringing a six pack of beer to the main beach off State Street. No alcohol is allowed at the site. Forcum said no one with beer was found at the beach.
