Peter Small was named to the spring semester dean’s list at State University of New York at Oneonta, Oneonta, New York. 

Benjamin Free has been named to spring semester dean’s list at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester.

August Jon Miller has graduated magna cum laude from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine with a degree in physics and a minor in Italian. He is the college’s first recipient of the E.O. LaCasce, Jr. Prize in Theoretical Physics. This fall he will attend the University of Illinois to pursue a doctoral degree in astrophysics. Miller is a 2012 graduate of Amherst Regional High School and is the son of Martin and Julie Miller.

Belchertown

Michael McKenzie has been named to the spring semester dean’s at Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, Minnesota.

Chesterfield

Hannah McNehigt has been named to the spring semester dean’s list at The University of Albany, Albany, New York. 

Deerfield

Emily Williams received a bachelor’s degree in athletic training, cum laude, from Westfield State University on May 21. She is a certified, licensed athletic trainer. Williams was selected as a member of the National Academic Squad for field hockey by the National Field Hokey Coaches Association.

Florence

Abigail Stowe-Thurston, the daughter of Lisa Stowe of Florence,  and Michael Thurston of Leeds, has been named to the spring semester dean’s list at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota.

A graduate of Northampton High School, Stowe-Thurston was a senior at Macalester last spring. 

Kimberly Beth Pavlovich received her bachelor’s degree  from Endicott College, Beverly on May 21.  An English major, she is the daughter of Joseph and Barbara Pavlovich.

Ella S. McDonald was named to the spring semester dean’s list at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, where she a member of the class of 2019. McDonald attended Northampton High School and is the daughter of Douglas and Deanna McDonald.

Anna Martin Ross been named to spring semester dean’s list with honors at McDaniel College  in Westminster, Maryland.

Katie E. Keegan has  been named to spring semester dean’s list with highest honors at McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland.

Leeds

Marissa Maiewski has been named to the spring semester dean’s list at Simmons College in Boston. A 2015 graduate of Northampton High School, Maiewski played field hockey and lacrosse at Simmons. She is the daughter of Kathy Borawski and the late Joe Maiewski.

Northampton

Jane Fleishman graduated from Widener University, Chester, Pennsylvania, with a doctor of philosophy in human sexuality studies.

South Deerfield

Kimberlyn Ann Semb, 11, has been chosen as a state finalist in the National American Miss Massachusetts Pageant to be held July 21 to 23 at the Sheraton Hotel in Springfield. She will be participating in the pre-teen age division.

Kimberlyn’s activities include singing, dancing, acting, playing the clarinet, and downhill skiing. She also enjoys volunteering to raise money for the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children. She lives in South Deerfield with her mom, Florence Howes and in Erving with her dad, Erik Semb.

Anna Francesca Ballou graduated with cum laude distinction from Deerfield Academy. She is the daughter of Alan and Lisa Ballou. Ballou was the recipient of the Charles Samuel Potee Memorial Award for Calculus. She will be attending Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley in the fall where she will be a member of the varsity field hockey team.

Camilla Marie Baronas has been named to the spring semester dean’s list at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut.

Kimberly Logan was named to the spring semester president’s list at Western New England University, Springfield, and the dean’s list for the college of business. Logan is a freshman majoring in finance.

Amber Logan was named to the spring semester dean’s list at Westfield State University, Westfield. She is a junior majoring in elementary education.

South Hadley

Natasha Vieu-Fleury was named to the spring semester president’s list at Goodwin College in East Hartford, Connecticut, achieving a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

Southampton

Katelyn Maureen Parzych has been named to the spring semester dean’s list at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut.

Sunderland

Jessica Zewski has been named to the spring semester president’s list at Western New England University, Springfield. Zewski is working toward a doctor of pharmacy degree.

Westhampton

Dana J. Nevins graduated summa cum laude from Syracuse University College of Law in Syracuse, New York, on May 13, with a degree of juris doctor. He was a member of the Justinian Honorary Society and the Syracuse Law Review. Nevins also received a master’s degree in public administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. Nevins is the son of Buddy and Mikki Nevins.

Worthington

Francis E. Dunham was named to the spring semester dean’s list at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, where he is a member of the class of 2017. Dunham attended Hartsbrook School and is the son of Christopher and Susan Dunham.
