Luke Leonard did it all for the Amherst Mickey Mantle baseball team in a 3-0 win over Mohawk on Thursday.

He pitched seven innings, allowing just one hit and five walks while striking out five.

Four of those walks came in the first two innings.

Leonard also hit an RBI double in the sixth inning.

Amherst scored its other two runs in the fourth inning.

Brett Evans led off with a walk, then Leonard walked as well, and Amherst pulled off a double steal.

Quentin Mollitero grounded into a fielder’s choice but picked up an RBI.

Ryan Dwyer then singled for an RBI and a 2-0 lead.

Logan Dapprich hit a double, and JD Mills had a single for Amherst.

Northampton 11, Easthampton 1 (5) — Tristan Szawlowski hit a double and had four RBIs in a road win at Booster Field.

Aiden Chapelaine had two RBIs, and Will Jordan had two hits.

Nick Heafey, in his first start this season, pitched four innings with three strikeouts and allowed just one unearned run.

Matt Zuchowski hit a sacrifice fly in the third inning for Easthampton’s run.

Little League 11-12

Easthampton 3, Westfield National 2 — Will Robbins picked up the win on the mound for Easthampton (1-0).

Connor Perreault and Justin Colpack had an RBI each, while Ryan O’Leary led Easthampton with two hits.

Nick Jolicoeur picked up the save.

Softball

Easthampton Eliminators 15, Frontier 7 — Chelsea Indyk and Kiersten Vishaway (home run) were each 3 for 3, while Jocelyn Mettey and Emma Downer were each 2 for 3 as the Eliminators (1-1) beat Frontier (0-3) in the under-12 Suburban League Wednesday.

Mettey struck out three and allowed two hits over the first three innings. Indyk fanned five in three hitless innings of relief.

Izzy Plamissano (Hadley) and Gabby Frangie each had a hit for Frontier. Gabby Frangie pitched five innings while Jillian Appannel pitched one.
