WHATELY — Several trees were reported down in Whately and Williamsburg early Wednesday morning after a storm knocked them onto a pair of roads.
State and local police and fire departments were called to clear the fallen trees on Haydenville Road in Whately around 2:15 a.m., and promptly removed the obstruction.
Hours later, State Police responded to a call at 5:45 a.m. for a tree that had fallen on power lines a town over in Williamsburg, on Edwards Street. State and local police and fire responded and removed the tree.
No damage was reported in either incident, but police said that the power company was called to the scene in Williamsburg as a precaution. No power outages were reported.
