Robert William Auffinger, 37, who provided an address as the Amherst Survival Center, 138 Sunderland Road, was arrested at 6:55 p.m. Wednesday on North Pleasant Street on charges of assault and battery on a person 60 and over and violating the town’s open container bylaw, police said.
Police said the victim, who was punched in the back by Auffinger, reported the incident a short time earlier.
