Part of the fun of going out on photo assignments every day is not knowing exactly what I’ll find when I arrive. This was the case the other day when I found myself inside a yurt in Williamsburg — something I wasn’t expecting in the least when given the address to drive to.
While photographing something entirely different, my eye kept being drawn to the center of the roof and the light that was spilling in, diffused by a sheet drawn across the opening. All the converging lines of the frame had been painted in subtle rainbow colors. It was a unique and interesting space to find myself.
