Joe Afflitto hit a one-out walk-off single to center field, scoring Hector DeJesus as Northampton Post 28 beat Agawam, 3-2, in American Legion action Friday at Arcanum.

It was the ninth straight win for Post 28 (13-1).

Afflitto and Tim Horton each had two hits and an RBI for Northampton.

Brandon Zaikowski struck out one in three innings of relief to earn the win.

Ludlow 6, Belchertown 5 — Jackson Leduc and Carl Teschke each had two RBIs for Post 239 in the road loss.

Belchertown’s Nick Kubacki and Trevor Edwards Kemp each had a hit. Jason French pitched the first five innings for Post 239 with no earned runs.

Mohawk 11, South Hadley 5 — Sean Doyle went 2 for 3 with two hits and one run for South Hadley in the road loss.

Garrett Giustina had one hit and three RBIs for South Hadley, while Braden Fogarty and Jacob Santiago each had one hit and one RBI.

Northampton 12, Frontier 2 — Northampton scored seven runs in the top of the fifth en route to the win at Headmaster Field at Deerfield Academy.

Will Jordan had a single, a double and four RBIs for Northampton. RJ Safron and Aiden Chapdelaine each had two RBIs.

Elliot Wills struck out two and walked one over 2 innings to earn the win for Northampton.

Northampton has won six out of its last seven games.
