NORTHAMPTON — A small fire that started under a front porch Friday night is still under investigation, though police have deemed it unsuspicious.
Police responded to a report of a structure fire at 13 Arlington St. at 9:24 p.m. Friday. The officers observed smoke coming from under the front porch and located the fire shortly after. There were no injuries.
The fire is still under investigation, but three cigarette butts were found in the area of the front porch, police said. The cost of damages has not been estimated, according to police.
Northampton police and the Northampton Fire Department responded to the call.
