Rock Voices is back. The Valley community chorus that’s all-inclusive and totally nondiscriminatory (“Anyone! Any ability! No auditions!”) is set to perform Saturday at 2 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. at the Academy of Music in Northampton.
Backed by a professional rock band led by Mitch Chakour, the 200-member ensemble devoted to helping everyday people find their voices (“Can’t read music? No problem!”) will be delivering the harmonies of classic and modern rock songs — Van Morrison, Journey, Heart, Led Zeppelin and Simon & Garfunkel are some of the bands they cover — like you’ve never heard them before (“Scared of not being good enough? Don’t be. This choir is full of people just like you!”)
Tickets are $15 general; $12 seniors; $8 students; children 12 and under free with a reserved ticket. (“What are you waiting for!?”)
