I would like to express my hope that the nuclear deal reached a year ago with Iran will continue to be supported in our U.S. Congress, especially by my senators, Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey.
The deal has accomplished the freezing and rolling back of Iran’s nuclear program, has put in place the most comprehensive inspection regime ever negotiated, has cut off Iran’s short-term uranium and plutonium pathways to producing a nuclear weapon and has for now averted the risk of another U.S. war in the Middle East.
It is my clear hope that this success will not be undermined by the imposing of new sanctions by the current Congress.
