SOUTH DEERFIELD — Natalee Sanborn, 24, of Buckland has been identified as the woman killed when her truck struck a dump truck on Route 116 in Deerfield Thursday afternoon, according to the Northwestern District Attorney’s office.
Town firefighters and South County EMS were called to the crash, which happened near 164 Conway Road around 12:30 p.m.
Rescue workers shut down Route 116 just before the Whately Road turn-off, near the Interstate 91 exit, and South Mill River Road on the other side for hours.
Investigators from the State Police Accident Reconstruction Team and the Northwest District Attorney’s Office, among other state agencies are involved in the investigation. No additional information about the crash has been released as of 2 p.m. Friday.
The driver of the dump truck, who has not been identified, was taken to Baystate Franklin Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
