We wish to add our names to those supporting Solomon Goldstein-Rose for state representative. Among a field of very qualified candidates, Solomon will get our vote for two reasons: He is the strongest by far in an area about which we care deeply – global climate change.
Solomon has worked hard and effectively in campaigns to institute important carbon legislation in two state houses, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. A Rhode Island bill, which he wrote, is close to being passed.
He is youthful, idealistic and energetic. His youth shouldn’t imply inexperience, however. He has been a member of the Amherst School Committee, interned at the White House Council on Environmental Quality, served in Rhode Island Sen. Whitehouse’s office in Washington, D.C., and worked on Jeanne Shaheen’s Senate campaign in New Hampshire.
Please give serious consideration to voting for Solomon on Sept. 8.
