EASTHAMPTON — Residents are invited to a cookout featuring live music and a display of police equipment hosted by the Easthampton Police Department on Thursday.
“Cookout with a Cop” will give residents a chance to meet and talk with members of the department, check out police vehicles and equipment, learn about gun laws, safety and licensing and enjoy a hamburger or hot dog grilled by Chief Bruce W. McMahon, according to a release.
Bands Dee Reilly, Ladies of Integrity and Faux Fighters will also perform and Mount Tom’s Homemade Ice Cream will provide samples.
The event will be held at the Nashawannuck Pond boardwalk Thursday from 5 p.m. to dusk.
Motorists are asked to see an alternate route, as Williston Avenue will be closed beginning at 4 p.m.
