NAME THAT TUNE —Sing-along with Steve is held the first and third Mondays of the month from 11 to 11:45 a.m. in the large activity room. Sept. 12, hand chime workshop; Sept. 19, children’s songs

BOOM or BUST – Music with Doug Schmolze, Sept. 16 at 2 p.m. Explore vintage songs from the “jazz age” 1920s (Boom) and the 1930s (Bust). Composers such as Irving Berlin, George Gershwin and Harold Arlen are represented, and a presentation provides images to accompany each song.

NUTRITION LECTURE – Professor Frans Huijing, a medical scientist and emeritus professor of biochemistry and molecular biology of the University of Miami, will talk about proteins in your diet Tuesday from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

Sunday, TANGLEWOOD, CONCERT. Beethoven Symphony No. 9. Depart at 11:30 a.m. and return at 6:30 p.m. $53 price includes lawn seats. You may buy your own shed tickets if you prefer. The concert starts at 2:30 p.m. Attendees may bring lawn chairs and picnic food. Pizza, sandwiches and drinks are available for purchase.

A bulletin board of all the “birthday babies” will be up for everyone to see. If you have a picture of yourself when you were a “wee little one” we would love to make a copy of it.
