Former UMass cornerback Randall Jette was released by the Green Bay Packers Monday in anticipation of the league’s first roster cut down to 75 players by 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Jette missed a chance to make an impact early in camp when the Hall of Fame game was abruptly cancelled. Jette made two tackles in three preseason games.

He’ll likely try to land on a team’s practice squad when team’s rosters are cut to 53 on Saturday.

The Vikings haven’t announced their cuts yet, but former Minuteman Marken Michel is likely at risk.

The receiver doesn’t have a catch in three games for Minnesota.

Offensive guard Vlad Ducasse, who signed with Baltimore in the offseason, is expected to make the Ravens. If he does, it will be the seventh NFL season for the former Minuteman from Haiti.

Former UMass receivers Tajae Sharpe (Titans) and Victor Cruz (Giants) are certain to make their respective teams.

Amherst native and former UMass All-American James Ihedigbo, who played with Detroit last year, hasn’t officially retired, but hasn’t signed with anyone.
