ASHFIELD — A 67-year-old Adams woman was killed in a rollover crash on Route 112 in Ashfield Monday afternoon, state police said.
The crash, which left a Toyota Corolla upside down on the opposite side of the guardrail in the north lane, occurred just before 3 p.m. on Route 112 between Sears Road and Three Sisters Sanctuary.
A State Police spokesman confirmed the fatality, but said he could not release the victim’s name until the next of kin has been notified. He said a passenger in the vehicle was injured.
The north lane of the road was closed during the investigation, and was reopened by Monday evening.
The crash is being investigated by the State Police Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section and the State Police detective unit, along with crime scene services.
State Police assigned to the Shelburne Falls barracks, the Ashfield and Goshen fire departments and Highland Ambulance also responded.
