Aaron Kater, the former Hinge owner who pleaded guilty in June to a felony drug charge in Connecticut, was sentenced Tuesday to serve 15 months jail time.

The remainder of the seven-year sentence was suspended, but Kater will be on probation for three years following his release, according to Connecticut court records.

Kater, 30, of Pelham, was arrested in November by South Windsor, Connecticut, police, who alleged he had 35 pounds of marijuana packed into two large audio speakers in a car.

He was in a car driven by David Loomis of Vermont and the pair was pulled over for speeding on November 18 in South Windsor. Both were arrested.

Loomis is scheduled to be sentenced Tuesday on a charge of conspiracy to sell, which he pleaded guilty to according to Connecticut court records.

Hinge closed shortly after Katerโ€™s arrest.
