Wheelock College might need new soccer nets.

The Smith College women’s soccer team wore the current ones out with a 19-0 win Saturday in Castine, Maine.

The onslaught set a new program record for goals and ranked fifth all-time in NCAA history.

Smith (1-0-1) also rewrote the record book with 72 shots, 48 shots on goal and 15 corners. Program records for shots in a half and goals in a half also fell.

Kenza Mdarhri-Alaoui led 12 Pioneers on the score sheet with three goals and an assist. Pamela Larkin also had a hat trick in just 4 minutes, 5 seconds.

Emily Smith, Jordan Isaacs and Krissy Williams all had two goals, while Reilly Sullivan led the team with three assists and had a goal.

Wheeelock goalie Dominique DelBene made 29 saves.

UMass 1, Maine 0 — Gabriela Kenyon found the net 90 seconds after entering the game as a substitute Saturday.

Salma Anastasio assister her halfway through the 22nd minute.

Cassidy Babin made six saves to keep the clean sheet for UMass (2-2).

UMass Dartmouth 1, Mount Holyoke 0 — Zoe Marshall made 13 saves in a loss Saturday.

Sara Sanau Ruiz led the Lyons with six shots.

Men’s soccer

UMass 1, Saint Peter’s 1 (2OT) — Alex DeSantis scored on a 30yard free kick in the 18th minute of a home tie Saturday.

Saint Peters’ Luke Fairlamb equalized on a penalty late in the first half.

UMass outshot the Peacocks 13-4 in the first half but didn’t get a shot off in the overtime period.

Jorge Becerra made three saves for the Minutemen (0-2-1)

There were seven yellow cards in the game.

Women’s cross country

UMass — Heather MacLean won the Spider Alumni Open on Saturday in Mechanicsville, Virginia, completing the two-mile course in 10:35.7.

The Minutewomen took third as a team with 64 points. William & Mary won the team competition with 45 points.

Women’s volleyball

University of Southern Maine 3, Smith 1; Endicott 3, Smith 0 — The Pioneers finished the Brandeis Invitational 0-3 with an 0-2 showing Saturday.

They lost 26-24, 225-21, 20-25, 25-21 to Southern Maine.

Jess Williamson had 20 kills in the match.

Endicott beat Smith (0-3) 25-13, 25-15, 25-12 with 11 aces.

Julie Voorhes led Smith with 20 digs.

Endicott freshman and former Frontier Regional player Remi Quesnelle had six digs.

Western New England 3, Mount Holyoke 0; Mount Holyoke 3, St. Joseph 0 — Joy Maran had 12 kills against Saint Joseph, as the Lyons split their season-opening matches Saturday.

Mount Holyoke (1-1) beat St. Joseph 25-22, 25-16, 25-14 and lost 25-12, 25-22, 25-16 to Western New England.

Field hockey

RIP 3, Mount Holyoke 2 — Three second-half goal sank the Lyons on Saturday.

Colby Newsham scored unassisted in the first half, and Florence’s Kristina Ramsden added another goal in the second half.

Mount Holyoke (0-1) goalie Liz DiCesare made seven saves.

South Deerfield’s Anna Ballou had one shot for the Lyons.

Vassar 2, Smith 0 — Northampton’s Emily Poehlein had an assist and two shots on goal for Vassar in a win over Smith on Saturday.

Sophie Chase, Julia Hamilton and Morgan Handwerger had shots on goal for Smith (1-1).

Cameo Tietje made 12 saves for the Engineers.

Northampton’s Emily Biggs started for Smith.

UMass 8, UMass-Lowell 0 — Melanie Kreusch and Nicole Kuerzi scored two goals each in a road win Sunday.

Celina Hocks, Izzie Delario, Sarah Hawkshaw and Nicole Miller also found the cage for UMass (2-2).

Emily Hazard made two saves for the shutout.
