The Hopkins Academy girls soccer cruised in its opener Monday, beating Pioneer Regional 6-0 in Hadley.

The Golden Hawks led 3-0 at halftime. Allison Jenks scored the first goal, then assisted her sister Samantha on the second. An own goal pushed the lead to three.

MaryKate Farnham, Emelia Aiken-Hafner and Allison Kowal-Safron added second-half tallies for Hopkins.

AJ Mitchell assisted Farnham, while Kiera Ciolkos had the helper on Kowal-Safron’s score.

Miranda Pitta did not have to make a save for the shutout.

Leah Fuess stopped 20 shots for the Pioners (0-1).

“Definitely a lot of movement, energy and passing from our side,” Hopkins coach Lyndsey Roberts said. “Their goalie was outstanding.”
