Megan McCarthy scored three goals with two assists to lead Northampton (1-0).
Anna Kerwood added two with an assist for Hamp.
McKenna Goggins, Meleah Follis, Ava Cronk, Hannah Sledzieski and Sophie Morini also scored.
Danielle Parent didn’t have a save in the shutout. Summer Zackaricz led a defense that swallowed up Franklin Tech’s offense the entire game.
Easthampton 4, Athol 1 — The Eagles opened their season with a victory at home.
Madison Grabowski led Easthampton (1-0) with two goals.
Kasi Marowitz and Juli Korza also scored.
In net, Lily Pioli made five saves.
Northampton 2, Westfield 0 — Syd White made five saves in a shutout for the Blue Devils at home.
