It may not mark a milestone in history, but “Turning the Wheel,”a dance-and-spoken-word performance presented by the Florence-based Gesserit Spice Belly Dance, definitely promises to be multicultural in nature.

As the season changes and we head into a period of denominationally different holidays, the show — set for Saturday at 7 p.m. at the First Churches in Northampton — will focus on “creating a space for many traditions of earth-based spiritualities to join together through art to express their personal journeys.” It’s also intended to inform the public on the “Pagan roots of modern-day holidays that are often forgotten,” says dancer Eliza Luminaria (pictured): “We strive to bring quality and diversity to this unscripted and open-floor-styled community show.”
