Amherst

Police responded to the Amherst Regional Middle School tennis courts at 6:16 p.m. Tuesday where a man was throwing a temper tantrum when he learned that Amherst College tennis teams would be using the courts until 7 p.m. Police determined the college is renting the courts from the public schools and the college players hadย the right to use them.ย 

Easthampton

A 46-year-old Chicopee resident will be summoned to court on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle after a traffic stop on Holyoke Street at 5:32 p.m.ย Sunday.

Lisa A. Lavalley, 54, of 13 Boylston St., was arrested on a warrant on Boylston Street at 10:10 p.m.ย Sept. 1.

Northampton

Cyrus S. Fisher, 32, of Springfield, was stopped at 2:26 a.m. Wednesday near Damon Road and North King Street after an officer observed that his license plate light was not illuminated. Police said there was a warrant for Fisherโ€™s arrest issued by Northampton District Court for failure to pay fines, police said.

Kenneth L. English, 51, who lists his address as the streets of Northampton, was arrested at 7:52 p.m. Tuesday at the Northampton Police Department when he came to the lobby to pick up personal belongings being held by police after a previous encounter. Police learned there was a warrant for Englishโ€™s arrest issued by Northampton District Court for failure to appear.
