East Leverett Road near the Leverett town line was closed for 90 minutes following a two-car crash at 8:34 p.m. Wednesday, police said. No additional information about the accident was available.
Manuel A. Bermudez-Reyes, 29, of Springfield, was arrested at 12:22 a.m. Thursday after he was stopped on King Street following a random license plate query, police said. The officer noted that Bermudez-Reyes had a warrant for his arrest issued by Springfield District Court on charges of failure to stop for a police officer, resisting arrest, improper use of a motor vehicle and speeding.
Cyrus S. Fisher, 32, of Springfield, was stopped at 2:26 a.m. Wednesday near Damon Road and North King Street after an officer observed that his license plate light was not illuminated. Police said there was a warrant for Fisher’s arrest issued by Northampton District Court for failure to pay fines, police said.
Kenneth L. English, 51, who lists his address as the streets of Northampton, was arrested at 7:52 p.m. Tuesday at the Northampton Police Department when he came to the lobby to pick up personal belongings being held by police after a previous encounter. Police learned there was a warrant for English’s arrest issued by Northampton District Court for failure to appear.
