Orchard Oriole

This male orchard oriole was enjoying a feast of thistle seeds near the bird blind at Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary on Coombs Road, Easthampton in July. Light as thistle down himself, he barely bent the flower stalks as he moved from seed head to seed head. I captured his actions with my tripod mounted DSLR camera and a medium length telephoto lens.
