The Hopkins Academy golf team jumped out to a big lead on rival Smith Academy, due in part to the strength of its top four players.
The lead was never threatened as the Golden Hawks earned a 16-8 win at Hickory Ridge Country Club in Amherst Tuesday.
The Golden Hawks won the first four matches by a combined score of 14.5-1.5.
No. 1 Caleb Farnham earned medalist honors with a 4-over 40 en route to sweeping his match against Dan Cavanaugh.
Jack Ter Doest edged Chris Darragh, 45-46, to take the No. 2 spot, 3-1.
Liam Higgins (48) won 3.5-0.5 over Cam Haley (5-3) at No. 3, while Kishan Patel (46) swept Finn O’Connor at No. 4.
