The literary magazine jubilat, published by the University of Massachusetts, focuses on contemporary American poetry, intermixing it with a selection of reprints, found pieces, lyric prose, art, and interviews with poets and other artists, with the overall goal of showcasing “the beauty and strangeness of the ordinary.”
The magazine partners with Amherst’s Jones Library each year for the jubilat/Jones Reading Series, six readings followed by a question-and-answer session during which attendees can talk with the poets.
The series kicks off Sunday at 3 p.m., in the library, with readings by Rosmarie Waldrop (pictured) and Lynn Xu.
