HATFIELD – The Hatfield Cultural Council is accepting proposals by Oct. 17 from local organizations, schools, and people seeking grants to support community-oriented arts, humanities, and science programs.

About $4,400 in grants will be distributed by the council this year.

The grants can support a wide range of artistic projects and activities in Hatfield, including exhibits, festivals, field trips, short-term residencies by artists, as well as performances in schools, workshops and lectures.

All applications must be submitted online. Mailed paper applications will not be accepted. More information and the online application can be found online at www.mass-culture.org.

The Hatfield Cultural Council is one of 329 local councils that serve all 351 communities in Massachusetts. The state Legislature appropriates money annually to the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency that allocates the funds to local communities.
