One day after UMass earned its first win of the season, both of the former Minutemen in the NFL won a pair of close games with their teams.
Victor Cruz – The ex-Minuteman wide receiver caught four passes for 91 yards including a 34-yarder on third down that set up the New York Giants’ game-winning field goal in their 16-13 victory over New Orleans.
Tajae Sharpe – The Lions slowed down the UMass alum in his second professional game. He caught four passes for 33 yards in the Tennessee Titans’ 16-15 win over Detroit.
Sharpe has 11 catches for 109 yards in two career games.
