The Gateway Regional girls soccer team exploded in the second half to beat Ware, 4-0, Saturday in Huntington.
Jessica Van Heynigen scored one goal and had two assists, while Taryn Kubik, Sam Belardo and Rachel LeBarron each tallied one for the Gators (4-0-1).
Becca Herman did not have to make a save in the shutout.
Gateway’s defense of Gabby Goralczyk, Bry Fellows, Megan Wright and Jules Dickinson held Ware to no shots.
