WESTFIELD – Westfield State University will officially install Ramon S. Torrecilha as university president in a ceremony Friday morning.
The event begins at 10 a.m. on Dever Stage in Parenzo Hall at 577 Western Ave. in Westfield.
Torrecilha was named president in December 2015 following a national search and began working at the university in January 2016.
Other speakers at the ceremony will include Carlos E. Santiago, commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education, Steven P. Marcus, chairman of WSU’s board of trustees, and Janet L. Holmgren, president emerita at Mills College.
