Chloe Prouty of Southampton finished second overall as the Williston Northampton girls cross country team beat Miss Porter’s 23-35 on the road Saturday.

Prouty was followed by Claire Harrison (Conway) in third and Maya Soley (South Hadley) in fifth and Natalie Aquadro (Northampton) in sixth.

Boys cross country

Williston 19, Avon 38 — Billy Ashenden won in 17:27, while Nick Hill (Northampton) was one second behind as the Wildcats won on the road Saturday.

Football

Trinity-Pawling 61, Williston 0 — Nate Balthazard had 109 yards receiving, Hunter Adams rushed for 27 yards late and Xavier Thibault had four tackles but the Wildcats (1-3, 1-3 Erickson) fell on the road Saturday.

Field hockey

Westminster 4, Williston 1 — Marielle McHale scored from Tori Palumbo but the visiting Wildcats fell Saturday.

Girls volleyball

Wilbraham & Monson 3, Williston 0 — Dylan Fulcher-Melendy (Easthampton) had eight digs, Ava McElhone Yates (Easthampton) had seven kills and Sarah Sullivan added four kills, two aces and three blocks but the Wildcats fell 26-24, 30-28, 25-22 at home Saturday.
