The area will get a taste of Indian Summer on Tuesday as temperatures are expected to reach the 80s, according to the National Weather Service in Tauton.
Meteorologist Alan Dunham said Tuesday could be a record-breaking day at Bradley International Airport, in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, where the current record stands at 80 degrees.
Tuesday’s forecast was mostly sunny with a south wind, he said.
Wednesday, Dunham said will be a little cooler but still mostly sunny. High temperatures are forecast in the upper 70s which are still above normal for this time of year, according to Dunham.
Later in the week, the weather will turn damp and cool with both Thursday and Friday likely seeing showers and high temperatures in the 60s, Dunham said.
For this time of year, Dunham said, high temperatures are generally in the low 60 to mid 60s.
