HADLEY — A 12-year-old boy struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross Route 9 Friday evening was taken to Baystate Medical Center for treatment of non life-threatening injuries, according to police.
The boy was hit around 6:30 p.m. in the eastbound lanes in front of the Domino’s Pizza, 459 Russell St., said Officer Matthew Goulding. He was transported by Amherst Fire Department ambulance to the Springfield hospital.
No citations were issued to the driver and the accident remains under investigation, Goulding said.
