A resident at Southpoint Apartments, 266 East Hadley Road, reported at 10:34 p.m. Wednesday that someone stole his 2008 Yamaha motorcycle.

Northampton

Gregory Stevens, 36, of Leverett, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct at about 1:17 a.m. Thursday in the Quality Inn parking lot at 117 Conz St. Police said Stevens was provoking officers, screaming profanities and encouraging officers to arrest him. “This is why I am here,” he told officers, according to an arrest report. “I wanted to be arrested.”

Jacklyn B. Schulze, 27, of 99 Market St., Apt. B, was arrested at about 5:41 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of shoplifting when police responded to Synergy Shoes, 197 Main St. after staff reported Schulze was observed taking a sweater from a display outside the front of the store, police said. Authorities also said she tried to make off with a pair of sunglasses. The merchandise, altogether, was worth roughly $85, police said.

Veronica D. Kozak, 55, of Hadley, was arrested around 10:21 a.m. Tuesday on an Eastern Hampshire District Court warrant. Police recognized Kozak when she was observed in public by an officer near Pleasant Street.

Easthampton

Cody A. Birchenough, 21, of Southampton, was arrested at 10:37 p.m. Wednesday for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and he crashed into a scrub off Ferry Street, according to police.
