AMHERST – Roadwork in Amherst Woods is expected to cause delays Monday, while utility work beginning that same day on Harris and Fisher streets will cause those roads to be shut down for an entire month.

Harris and Fisher streets in North Amherst will be closed to through traffic beginning Monday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. as crews work to replace a water main. There will be no on-street parking allowed during that time. Local traffic will be permitted, though residents are warned to expect delays. Construction is expected to take about a month, according to Town Engineer Jason O. Skeels.

Crews will also work to pave several streets in Amherst Woods in South Amherst on Monday. Motorists can expect delays on Teaberry Lane, Woodlot Road, Ladyslipper Circle and Larkspur Drive on that day and are being asked to see alternate routes. There is no on-street parking on those roads Monday, according to Skeels.
