EASTHAMPTON — Joining its counterparts in Northampton and Belchertown, the Easthampton Police department has set up a secure location at which people can exchange online purchases.
Police said buyers and sellers can now meet at the secure location at the Easthampton Public Safety Complex on 32 Payson Ave. The spot is monitored by video surveillance.
The area is located in the complex’s public parking lot with a designated sign stating “Internet Purchase Exchange Location.” Police hope that the area will alleviate the need for citizens to meet at private homes or unfamiliar places.
