A laptop and keys were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on University Drive in an incident reported at 1:25 p.m. Monday. Police said there were no signs of forced entry.
A Holyoke man was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated. Nathan Derose, 39, was arrested just afterย 2 a.m.ย Wednesdayย at the Pride Gas Station on King Street. Police were called to the scene by an employee who said Derose had been idling in front of a pump for 40 minutes, police said. Derose declined a field sobriety test.
Police are investigating an incident in which a woman said she felt threatened after passing a group of men on Center Streetย Tuesday. The incident occurred just afterย 4 p.m.ย The woman told police she had been walking on Center Street when she passed a group of three to four men in front of the police station. One man said, “yeah, that Donald Trump did a good job. Can’t wait for him to kick some ass,” according to police.
A Greenfield woman was arrested and charged withย allegedly taking more than $500 worth of DVDs from Wal-Martย Tuesdayย afternoon. Police arrested Randi Craib, 30, for larceny over $250. Craib took 22 items totalling more than $703 including 14 DVDs and numerous clothing items.
A woman came into the police station aroundย 2:15 p.m.ย Tuesdayย to tell police she had passed a school bus. Police said the woman felt guilty and asked to be cited. Police declined to issue a citation.
South Hadley Police said a group of youths caused minor damage to the Town Hall sometime betweenย Fridayย night andย Saturdayย morning. Chief Steve Parentela said officers are looking into suspects. Town Administrator Michael Sullivan informed the Select Board about the incident at its meetingย Tuesdayย night. Sullivan told the board the individuals got into the building through a door that had been left unlocked.
