Must organize to resist Trump presidency

I saw the political cartoon (Dec. 5 ) of a man in the jaws of a Trump-like crocodile saying “Well, heck … let’s give him a chance!”

The next day, I read Fleitman’s column that provides his own questionable rationale for “Wait and see how Trump will serve” (Dec. 6).

In my view, we have already heard Trump speak and we have read about his plans for cabinet appointments, and these reflect potential threats to basic entitlements (Medicare, Social Security and veterans’ benefits) as well as to environmental protection.

I cannot have blind faith in the Trump presidency. I believe he is more concerned about deals than serving the common good. We must organize and plan to resist.
