President-elect Donald J. Trump has once again revealed his intention to haves foxes guard chicken coops.
His selection of Scott Pruitt to be the next head of the Environmental Protection Agency is a travesty. He may as well have selected Pruitt and simultaneously called for the name of the agency to be changed to the Environmental Destruction Agency.
Mr. Pruitt is a known opponent of the Paris climate change accord, favors deregulation of oil, gas, and coal production, and is closely aligned with lobbyists from the oil and gas industry.
He will reverse or delay President Obama’s solid attempts to meet our goals for control of greenhouse gas emissions.
