ODYSSEY BOOKSHOP: Corinne Demas and Artemis Roehrig will read from two children’s books they co-authored, “Are Pirates Polite?” and “Does a Fiddler Crab Fiddle?,” Saturday, 2 p.m. at the bookstore, in the Village Commons, 9 College St., South Hadley. 534-7307
Children’s book authors Corinne Demas, Grace Lin, Patricia MacLachlan, Bob Marstall, Heidi Stemple and Jane Yolen will hold a book signing Saturday at 3 p.m.
Romolo “Mimi” M. Rigali, author of “On Being Italian: A Story of Food, Family, and Faith,” will sign copies of the book Saturday, 3 p.m.
SMITH COLLEGE: A book launch and reading of The Gallery of Readers Anthology 2017 will be held Sunday, 4 p.m. Weinstein Auditorium, at the college in Northampton. Refreshments will be served. www.galleryofreaders.org

Ruth Sanderson launches her new illustrated book, “The Golden Key” by George MacDonald, Saturday, 3-4:30 p.m.
Eric Bennett will debut his new book, “Noodles’ and Albie’s Birthday Surprise” Saturday at 5 p.m. There will be a reading, a waddling contest (come in a penguin costume and get a penguin plush doll) and a slide show. Also, the book’s illustrator, Milanka Readon, will teach kids how to draw a penguin.
