Needing three wins for 100 in his wrestling career, Smith Vocational senior Koby Ouimette got the job done Wednesday.
The 100th win made Ouimette the all-time leader for the Vikings.
Ouimette wrestled in the 160-pound class, which is up from his normal 152.
“Koby has wrestled since seventh grade,” first-year Smith Voke coach Vincent Guiel said. One hundred wins is not an easy thing to do. He comes to practice and works hard every day. Hopefully he gets 20 or 30 more win this year.”
Cody Hanlon was the all-time leader for Smith Voke, but he is sidelined with a shoulder injury. Hanlon stands at 98 wins for the Vikings.
Ouimette pinned Hampshire’s DJ Willard in 2 minutes, 55 seconds, and then earned a win against Gateway Regional to get within 99.
After nearly two minutes of grappling with Mohawk’s Jameson Dailey-Pecor, Ouimette earned a pin for his 100th win.
