The Amherst Regional 400-yard freestyle relay came through in the clutch as the Hurricanes beat host South Hadley, 48-46, in a girls swimming meet Tuesday at Michael E. Smith Middle School.

Tied at 42 going into the final event, the Hurricanes won in 4 minutes, 14.25 seconds.

South Hadley finished in 4:28.28.
