Irvin Compass came off the bench and scored 14 points to go along with nine rebounds in his season debut as the Hopkins Academy boys basketball team routed Mohawk Trail, 97-30, in Buckland Thursday.

Sam’i Roe almost had a quadruple-double with 29 points, 14 rebounds, 10 assists and nine steals for the undefeated Golden Hawks (6-0, 4-0 Hampshire).

Jon Morrison added 18 points and 10 boards.

Justin Ciaglo (13 points) and John Earle (19 points) also hit double digits.

Hopkins had 28 assists on 30 field goals. It led 30-2 after the first quarter, 54-8 at halftime and 77-14 after the third.

Pathfinder 67, Smith Vocational 47 — Drew Brida scored a career-high 27 points with nine rebounds but an early deficit was too much for the Vikings to overcome at home.

Luis Acosta added seven points for Smith Voke (1-6).

Easthampton 69, Ware 38 — The Eagles got back in the win column at home.

Zach Crisafulli led Easthampton (2-4) with 13 points. Johnny Bara added 10 points with two 3-pointers.

Ish Akanour also scored 10 points.

Sopie Pek, who is working his way back from a foot injury, dressed and warmed up but didn’t play for the Eagles.

“We are hoping that he’ll play next week,” Easthampton coach Brian Miller said.

Mahar 68, Smith Academy 34 — The Falcons struggled against the undefeated Senators on the road.

Jack Zigmont (13 points) and Nick Leary (12 points) were in double figures for Smith Academy (1-6, 0-5 Hampshire).

Northampton 61, Sci-Tech 48 — Elijah Davis went for 26 points in a home win for the Blue Devils.

Davis knocked down three 3-pointers for Northampton (5-3).

Andy Gyrgorcewicz added nine points.

Amherst 77, Pope Francis 58 — Seth Bella-Hunter scored 18 points with 21 rebounds and six blocks in a home win for the Hurricanes.

Will Budington had a career-high 26 points for Amherst.

Meikyle Murray added 12 points.

Meikkel Murray missed the game with flu-like symptoms.

Turners Falls 67, Frontier 47 — Trevor Gilmore (13 points) and Myles Freeman (14 points) were both in double figures but the Red Hawks (1-6) lost to undefeated Turners on the road.

Sabis 71, South Hadley 51 — The Tigers opened Surburban league play with a road loss.

Calvin Bridges led South Hadley (4-3, 0-1) with 27 points while Nate Poirier added 11.

Pioneer Christian 50, Gateway Regional 37 — Shane Mastello had 14 points but the Gators (2-4, 0-3 Tri-County) fell on the road.

Minnechaug 62, Belchertown 51 — Mitch Medina had 16 points and Nolan Vogel added 14 but the Orioles (0-6, 0-1 Suburban) fell on the road.

Granby 32, Southwick 25 — Joe Desormier had eight points, while Zach Gorham and Mike Sosa each added six for Granby (4-2, 1-1 Bi-County).

Duggan 34, Gateway 24 — Lilly Waters scored eight points in a home loss for the Gators (0-5).
