Nik Smith won three events as the Northampton boys indoor track and field team beat Amherst, 59-32, and Central, 68-23, during the PVIAC night session Friday at Smith College.
Smith won the 55-meter dash (6.62 seconds), the 300 (35.54) and the long jump (20 feet, 11 inches). Philip Hempstead won the 2-mile (10:29.63) for Hamp as well.
Amherstโs Aiden Foucault Etheridge took the 600 (1:23.82), Julian Fisher Frank won the 1,000 (2:46.79) and the 4×200 relay won in 1:36.62.
The Northampton girls had three individual winners as the Blue Devils beat Amherst (71-18) and Central (63-26).
Evelyn Burke won the 1,000 (3:24.18) and 2-mile (11:50.68), while Scarlet Sands Bliss (600, 1:45.12) and Mary Yount (mile, 5:43.02) also placed first.
Hampshireโs Jordan Wytrych (55 dash, 7.81) and Amherstโs 4×200 relay (1:56.13) also won.
During the early session, the South Hadley girls had a trio of winners in its sweep of Ludlow (72-23) and Mahar (77-18).
Sarah Fudger won the 1,000 in 3:16.96, while Lindsay Marjanski took the high jump (4-9) and Maddie Doolittle the long jump (15-3).
